Mr. Butler is a former U.S. Attorney for the State of Arizona. He began his legal career in the Pima County Attorney's Office and then the United States Attorney’s Office where he gained recognition for his successful prosecution of organized crime boss Joseph Bonano and worked on many high-profile Southern Arizona cases. After a decade of public service as a prosecutor, Mr. Butler was a partner in the law firm of Butler & Stein for almost twenty years. He then became a Director in the law firm of Fennemore Craig, Arizona's oldest law firm. Almost three years ago, Mr. Butler opened his own law office.

Mr Butler practice is concentrated on white collar criminal defense and commercial litigation. His practice works in the defense of companies and individuals under investigation by State and Federal regulatory and law enforcement agencies, up to and including trial Mr. Butler also represents witness and victims in legal proceedings. He is available for consultation to assist companies and individuals with compliance questions.
